God made every single person different on purpose. Because of how I was uniquely made, I saw that there were people that only I could reach—my friends, classmates, co-workers and family. It’s the same for you.
“Our senior class didn’t want to do just any class trip; we wanted to serve,” shares Catarina Falcao, a Blue Mountain Academy (BMA) 2021 graduate. “Since we couldn’t go out of the country because of COVID-19, we decided to serve in Florida.”
Blue Mountain Academy (BMA) alumnus Jim Slater (’85) had already completed three IRONMAN events. But this year, when IRONMAN Chattanooga was scheduled on the anniversary of when he broke his neck, became paralyzed, stopped breathing and almost died while a freshman at BMA, he was especially excited to participate.
This spring, Alex Dubee, now retired pastor of the Pottsville and Hamburg churches, partnered with the CORE school of evangelism and local Bible worker Jack LaCamera to hold evangelistic meetings at both churches.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I think it is impossible to not sin. Temptations come my way, and many times I give in to them. The thing is, when a temptation pops into my head, I tend to think I have already sinned, but nothing could be further from the truth.
As part of the prayer initiative, “Praying the Mission Forward,” members, church families, schools and conference leaders accepted an exciting challenge earlier this year as they prayed daily for 30 days.
This verse has impacted me greatly because it reminds me that I am not alone. Whatever it is that you are going through in life, God will always be by your side. If it’s school, friends, future decisions or anything else, God will help you prosper.
