As antiracist protests continue throughout the nation and worldwide, the Liberty church in Windsor Mill, Md., organized a peaceful demonstration supporting black lives. 

Pine Forge Academy is happy to welcome several new team members for the 2017-18 school year. Each new faculty and staff member is uniquely gifted to help PFA achieve its mission, vision and strategic initiatives. 

The Ebenezer Ghana church in Newark, N.J., recently celebrated the grand opening of their new church building. After 12 years of renovation, they were excited to open their doors to members and special guests as part of their “Thus Far the Lord Has Helped Us” theme.

For one special Sabbath, the doors of some 40 Seventh-day Adventist churches in the Northern Virginia area were closed. Their members instead  gathered at the Hylton Memorial Chapel for a joint worship service, fellowship, training and a free concert.

“Helping people in the community doesn’t always have to equal baptisms,” said one enthusiastic attendee.

Harriet Langley, a member of Allegheny East Conference’s Pisgah church in Bryans Road, Md., could never forget the Jefferson family. As a long-serving member of the church’s Adventist Community Services (ACS) team, she had helped many, many people, but this family was different. “The father had gotten hurt on the job and couldn’t work,” she recalls. “When they couldn’t pay the bills, he and his family were put out of the trailer they were living in.”
