In the days following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the Red Cross in the capital region sent the majority of their blood supply to Texas and Florida.  That left a major shortage in the Washington D.C. area.  That’s when the American Red Cross turned to the WGTS 91.9 family to help meet the need.

WGTS 91.9 listeners joined together to show support for the Capitol Police by signing a gigantic card created by the station that reads “The WGTS 91.9 Family is Praying for You.”  

Once again WGTS 91.9 listeners showed their support by being a part of the station’s spring fundraiser. Over 3,300 listeners stepped up to contribute more than $1.1 million dollars to keep the listener-supported ministry running strong.
