Massillon Connections (MC) aspires to be known as a place where connections are made and lives are changed.
Adventist HealthCare is adding 178 beds across the organization’s three acute-care hospitals. Additionally, 200 temporary beds will be added at the former Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Md., for patients recovering from COVID-19, in partnership with the state.
We talked to educators and students from around the union and learn about more creative ways members are lending a helping hand during this tough time.
Here are five ways Columbia Union members are trying to lend a hand during the COVID-19 crisis.
"You could see the smiles on the faces of those coming in when they heard thank you or saw our signs," explained Johnny Stone.
“I want to let people know that through this God still loves them and so do I. If they want to pray, study the Bible, or if they just need encouragement I want them to know I would love to do that and will be there,” says Blue Mountain Academy student Gwynavere Culpepper.

Ohio Conference's Spring Valley Academy is making a concentrated effort to expand their science program this year. One route they have taken is an initiative dubbed “STEM Buddies.”
“God gives us ideas and thoughts for businesses and it’s for His glory,” D’Souza-David said. “No matter what it is it’s for His glory. Anything God has enabled you to do is for His glory.”
The event, the first to be hosted virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place on Zoom.
