As a young Christian, I came across verse after verse in the Bible about forgiveness and praying for your enemies, but I ignored theses verses and would just turn the page. I was so deeply hurt; I didn’t want to forgive or pray for my nemesis.

God’s thinking and ways are not ours (Isaiah 55:8). He is infinite. We are finite. He is far beyond our vaunted logic, reason and sense of fairness.

This sacred responsibility inspires me to live boldly for Jesus and to not be ashamed of being a Seventh-day Adventist.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (ESV). We have seen this promise in Lamentations 3:22–23 lived out this year.
