Connecting Columbia Union Seventh-day Adventists

Columbia Union News

Thirty-nine Pathfinder teams from across the Columbia Union Conference are busy studying the book of Exodus for the upcoming Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) event March 19. The teams and their sponsors will gather at Allegheny East Conference’s (AEC) Shiloh church in Petersburg, Va., for an afternoon of Bible trivia.

The Emotional Wellness Summit, held January 13-17 in Orlando, Fla., was designed for health professionals and leaders, pastors and those who want to know more about prevention, treatment and recovery strategies for better mental health. Two union attendees answer our question about the event, sponsored by the North American Division Adventist Health Ministries, the South American Division and General Conference.

The Columbia Union Conference is putting forward significant funding to help prove that mission trips don’t require church members to cross oceans or enter foreign lands. Over the past five years, the union has donated $1 million toward its Homeland Mission Initiative. These monies go back to local Seventh-day Adventist churches to fund creative ministries programs, outreach projects and mission schools—all designed to share the gospel message right outside their front doors.
