When John and Janelle Rivera decided to work with the Laurelwood church youth again, they only planned to revive the Pathfinder club. However, they ended up leading a group of young people of varying ages, from juniors to young adults, many of whom did not grow up in Seventh-day Adventist homes or didn’t take their faith seriously.

Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the United States, Canada, Bermuda, Guam and Micronesia are currently participating in Pray One Million. This spiritual initiative is a wake-up call for leaders at all the levels of the church and for every single member of the family of God.
Conference leaders kicked off 2015 with training sessions and classes for local church leaders and department coordinators. “The purpose of the trainings is to motivate and give the tools to the leaders to do the mission of Jesus in their local churches,” says Jorge Aguero, Personal Ministries director.
