Year of the Bible

Over the years, I have enjoyed running. And I’ve been reminded of this verse over and over: “Even youths grow tired and weary.”

This verse speaks to a specific challenge in my life that makes me feel weak at times.

Do we faithfully present truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

I cannot count the number of times this passage has helped me through turning points in my life.

There is certainly safety when we abide in the presence of God. Psalm 91 speaks of His protective love, and, for me, verse 14 encapsulates the promises of the chapter.

Jesus has the power to heal no matter the severity of the illness. Jesus can use anyone to bless another person who needs help.

The very weakest areas of our lives is where God is strongest.

Dressed in very humble clothes, rather ragged, with a tanned complexion and a wrinkled face, the poor, old man approached all those who parked on the church’s street, offering to watch their cars for a few coins. I will never forget this kind, old man and the lesson he taught me.
