Takoma Academy

A select group of singers were privileged to travel to Kenya this summer. As members of the school chorale and Camerata, they are very familiar with the witnessing power of Christian music.

Takoma Academy is delighted to welcome its incoming principal, Jasmine Brann, into the school’s family.

Three of Takoma Academy’s brightest students recently traveled to the Netherlands to attend the annual The Hague International Model United Nations event.

Twice a year, Takoma Academy (TA) students and faculty spend a Friday participating in community service themed, “Spread Love Day.” Last fall, they spent the day serving their community at multiple locations in the Washington metropolitan area.

Three Takoma Academy juniors participated in the Minority Introduction to the Health Sciences Program at Loma Linda University, a summer program designed to introduce Black Adventist students to careers in the health sciences.

To kick off the 2025–26 school year, Takoma Academy welcomes Keith Beckett as interim principal and Megan Moore as one of its new English teachers.

Takoma Academy’s faculty and staff would like to acknowledge and honor all its alumni who have served proudly in our nation’s military.

Ashish David (’93) joins the Takoma Academy staff as the new director of Development, Recruitment and Alumni Relations.

This 2024–25 academic year, Takoma Academy welcomes three new hires to the campus family.
