John Wagner, principal of Shenandoah Valley Academy (SVA) in New Market, Va., skydived onto the SVA soccer field this week.

He jumped in honor of his 75th birthday and to encourage others to donate to the Open a Door student scholarship fund at the school.

Kettering College in Kettering, Ohio, recently gained final approval by the Higher Learning Commission to offer a doctorate in occupational therapy. This is the final action needed for adding the first doctoral program to begin at the college.
