Spencerville Adventist Academy

Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) students and staff recently partnered with Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington (ACSGW) to organize and pack 50 boxes of food in preparation for distribution. There has been an increase of people in need, including a number of recent refugee families from Afghanistan.

I love this text, mostly because it is a simple proclamation of the gospel. But also because it sets the record straight in regard to the lies the serpent told in the Garden of Eden. Many people are still being convinced that God’s Word is not reliable, that God uses obedience to keep good things from his people and that we do not already have everything we need to reflect the image of God.

Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) recently earned the National Certificate for STEM Excellence (NCSE), a Campus Certification from the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE). SAA is one of only 56 schools in the nation to have earned this national certificate.

When the coronavirus pandemic began last March, students from Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) moved to an online educational experience. Wanting to help kids who were struggling to adjust to online learning and to grasp concepts virtually, Abby Shim (’21) began tutoring them, free of charge.

This spring and summer, one student from each of the Columbia Union Conference academies received the Caring Heart Award from Columbia Union’s Office of Education. Those honored demonstrated a commitment to service and witnessing.
