Allegheny West Bible Bowl Program Blossoms Story by Bryant Taylor
The Allegheny West Conference was well represented at the annual National Black Adventist Youth Directors Association Bible Bowl Tournament held in Nashville, Tenn. This Bible study event features teams in five group levels, from ages 6 to senior citizens.
The Central church recently had Columbus, Ohio, buzzing, says Pastor T. Boston II. The church accomplished this by sponsoring the VeggieTales Live! tour at the Aladdin Shrine Center. More than 1,500 attended, some traveling as much as four hours, and left knowing more about the Central church.
This summer Allegheny East and Allegheny West conference superintendents, Judy B. Chiles-Dent and Yvette Cooper, respectively, brought together educators from both territories for a four-day teacher in-service to prepare them for the 2014-15 school year.
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is usually synonymous with fun. However, Allegheny West Conference's Central church VBS organizers in Columbus took the program to new heights this year.
