The Ephesus congregation in Columbus, Ohio, recently celebrated its centennial with a weekend full of festivities. Many former pastors returned to help celebrate, including James Washington, Charles Drake, Henry M. Wright, Stephen T. Lewis, Bufford Griffith and William T. Cox. Other guest speakers with close relationships to Ephesus included Barry C. Black, chaplain for the United States Senate, and James L. Lewis, former Allegheny West Conference president.

Fifty-six members of the Hispanic and Brazilian community in the Allegheny West Conference recently received certificates of Professional Lay Ministry.
Last Sunday, some 242 delegates attended the Allegheny West Conference’s (AWC) 15th Regular Constituency Session and 2nd Quadrennial Session. Their purpose was to elect officers, departmental directors, and governing committees; amend the constitution and bylaws; and hear reports of conference work during the past four years.
Women from across the Allegheny West Conference (AWC) recently gathered for a weekend of worship, fellowship, and relaxation. Called the Hadassah Conference, after Esther’s Hebrew name, the event was hosted by the Women of Worship chorus from the Glenville church in Cleveland. The theme for the weekend was “Commissioning Women for Impact.” Presenters spoke of faith, change, and consecrating oneself to God. All encouraged women to realize that salvation was a “a set up, to set us free from Satan’s bondage.”
