Make Amigos for Christ—a New Resource for Spanish-Speaking Members

Interview by Beth Michaels

CompartiendoEsperanzaRubén Ramos, vice president for Multilingual Ministries for the Columbia Union, is shipping the 10-page booklet Compartiendo Esperanza: Como Hacer Amigos Para Cristo (Sharing Hope: How to Make Friends for Christ) to Hispanic churches around the union. Here he shares more about the pocket-sized resource:

Visitor: What is the purpose of the booklet?

Ramos: The booklet is a guide of 16 easy steps to help disciples in the process of helping friends come to Jesus. The idea is that each of them will commit themselves to pray daily for four friends in their circle of influence: family, co-workers, relatives, friends. It’s a good tool to use when preparing for an evangelistic event as well, especially when you want to invite friends to attend.

Visitor: Where can people get it?

Ramos: It was prepared by international evangelist Alejandro Bullón. We have printed 100,000 copies in order to flood every Hispanic church in our union through local conference offices. At this point, we have the booklet only in Spanish. I hope in the near future that it may be available in other languages.
