The staff of WGTS 91.9 believe they are there to encourage everyone they encounter to take one step closer to Christ. They provide music that offers hope and encouragement at 91.9 FM in Washington, DC. Listen online at www.WGTS919.com, or download the app at www.WGTS919.com/listen.
For the past four years WGTS 91.9 has been teaming up with Tysons Corner Center to host free summer concerts that are open to the general public. The partnership has brought thousands of people to the mall, fostered service projects around the D.C. and increased business for the retailers as well.
A large group of board members, staff, Adventist pastors, supporters and volunteers gathered in April to pray together and request God’s presence and blessing on WGTS’ new ministry center in Rockville.
“God is working through the WGTS listeners to reach even more people for Jesus through this ministry. To see so many listeners step up and say, “I’m all in” is really encouraging. It’s going to allow WGTS to continue to grow, to expand, and to serve even more people throughout the Washington D.C. area and beyond,” said WGTS General Manager Kevin Krueger.
“I am awe struck by the multitude of ways God is working in the lives of our listening audience. Stories of encouragement and answers to prayer, outright miracles are common place. And they have responded yet again by sacrificial gifts to keep this ministry viable. It truly is a God thing,” says WGTS Chairman of the Board and Executive Secretary of the Columbia Union of Seventh-day Adventists Rob Vandeman.
