Wander into the world of social media and you will find it colored with grief. We are reeling and pained by the actions of terror in our world. To try to fathom the loss of one life, and then to multiply that in order to understand the loss here is staggering.

A parent told me recently that their child didn’t want to come to church because they got bullied by the other children at church.  This wasn’t at school or online; this was happening at church!

This year two beloved schools in Takoma Park, Md.—John Nevins Andrews (JNA) and Sligo Adventist School—will unite as Takoma Academy Preparatory School (TA Prep).

After attending a church planting conference, Jennifer Deans, pastor of the Living Faith church in Dulles, Va., realized the church didn't need a better discipleship program; it needed a paradigm shift. "It's God’s job to grow the church, and it's ours to make disciples," she says.

Eight teams from the Columbia Union Conference placed first at the recent North American Division Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) in Chicago. Six teams placed second.
