Pine Forge Academy Choir Ministers in the United Kingdom
Story by Addriene Rhodes
Earlier this year, the Pine Forge Academy (PFA) choir embarked on an unforgettable international journey to the United Kingdom, where music became both their ministry and bridge to new friendships.
The choir was warmly welcomed by Stanborough Secondary School in Watford, England, whose hospitality set the tone for a week filled with fellowship, learning and cultural exchange. Students quickly formed meaningful connections with their Stanborough hosts, sharing classrooms, conversations and laughter.
Throughout the week, the choir ministered in London, Birmingham and surrounding areas, lifting their voices in praise and inspiring audiences across the region. One of the most memorable moments came as PFA and Stanborough students united as a combined choir under the direction of Jarrett Roseborough, PFA choir director. Their blended harmonies beautifully reflected the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose that defined the trip.
In addition to their performances, students participated in master’s classes that sharpened their musical skills and expanded their artistic understanding. They even brought spontaneous joy to commuters by singing in the London Underground, turning an ordinary subway ride into an extraordinary worship experience.
Beyond the music, the choir immersed themselves in the rich history and culture of the United Kingdom. Students toured iconic landmarks, including the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace, gaining a deeper appreciation for the heritage surrounding them. They also enjoyed sampling local cuisine and shopping in the city’s vibrant markets and shops.
The trip was far more than a tour—it was a ministry, a cultural exchange and a transformative learning experience. Through song, service and shared experiences, the PFA choir represented their school and community with excellence, leaving a lasting impression across the United Kingdom.
