WGTS 91.9 Summer Concert Series Wraps Up With Jordan Feliz
Story by Jerry Woods
WGTS 91.9 finished the 10th season of its annual Summer Concert Series with an outdoor concert by Christian artist Jordan Feliz August 23 on the lawn of the Frederick Adventist church in Maryland. More than 3,500 people attended, making it the best-attended concert of the 2025 season.
“It was such a joy to see more than 3,000 people come together for a night of music, hope, and encouragement,” says WGTS Chief Administrative Officer Kelly Carvalho. “This concert was a powerful reminder of how music can bring people closer to God and to each other.”
Listeners enjoyed music from the Infusion, the church’s worship band, followed by a short message of hope from lead pastor Morgan Kochenower. Then Jordan Feliz took to the stage for 75 minutes, sharing all his hits from his first single “The River” to his current hit “Thank God for That.” The crowd sang and danced along with every song.
Kochenower says, “This is incredible, I’m truly humbled and praise Jesus. This would not have been possible without Him. It’s like Joseph and Daniel, no one can do what you are asking for but there is a God in heaven, wow!”
WGTS Morning Show co-host Summer Shepherd reflected on the concert. “Looking out over the sea of people, it was like a cross-section of heaven. I know that sounds dramatic, but with people of all ages, ethnicities, and genders, all worshipping together, it was like the doors of heaven had been thrown wide open. All were welcome and all showed up. It’s rare to see such a mix of people in the same place, let alone around a central focus: Jesus. It was something to behold.”
The WGTS 91.9 Summer Concert Series launched in June 2015 as a single concert in partnership with Tysons Corner Center in Virginia. Since then, it has grown to as many as three concerts a summer spread across the greater Washington, D.C., area and the Eastern Shore.
