WGTS Launches 2022 Ice Cream Tour in Frederick, Maryland

WGTS 91.9 is back after two years to host their first ice cream social on Friday, June 17. Over 300 WGTS listeners descended on Baker Park in Frederick, Md., for free ice cream and a chance to hang out with the WGTS crew. WGTS afternoon show hosts Johnny and Stacey Stone did their afternoon broadcast.

“After two years of not gathering in large groups, it’s good to get back out on the road. Serving ice cream to hundreds of people is totally our brand of fun,” says promotions director and morning show host Jerry Woods.

All summer long, WGTS is touring the Washington, D.C., area to engage and encourage listeners while serving ice cream. This is all part of the station's “91 Days of Summer” to help families connect with one another and create lasting memories, say organizers.
