Shiloh Youth Program Makes Huge Impact
Story by Tiffany Forde, Shiloh Church Communication Director
Late last fall, youth from English and Hispanic churches across the Allegheny West Conference (AWC), ranging from elementary school age to young adults, filled the sanctuary of the Shiloh church in Cincinnati for a day filled with testimonies, worship and fellowship with one another.
Adventist Youth Society leader Deja Dockery and assistant leader My’Eisha Butler say they curated an experience that saw the Spirit move among the young people. The Columbus Adventist Academy choir (pictured), led by Tamaria Kulemeka, blessed the congregation with songs of praise.
Guest speaker 17-year-old Je’Chaun Pottinger from Orlando spoke on the topic of Jonah with conviction and passion. The congregation later rejoiced when a young man declared his desire to follow God through baptism. The day continued with lunch and breakout sessions focusing on topics such as CPR, intimacy, overcoming identity crisis, and the impact of social media.
Youth Director Jamal Franklyn and Shiloh pastors Carl Brown and Horacio Quiroga praise God for the program’s incredible impact and request continued prayers for the AWC youth.
