A Sticker Stop With Heart
Story by WGTS 91.9 Staff
Come to a WGTS Sticker Stop, and you’ll find someone to pray with you, games such as Bible or Not, and tables filled with stickers, pencils, pens, keychains, Bible study guides, and more. Most importantly, you’ll find caring WGTS team members and volunteers.
A recent Sticker Stop was built to bring attention to Heart Health month. “It was a super-sized Sticker Stop,” says Ken Scribner, Director of Promotions and Community Engagement, “with lots of heart. WGTS believes in caring for others through our Hands and Heart projects. This time, we wanted to be generous with our listeners, who are always so generous with us.”
Medical professionals offered blood pressure screenings and CPR demonstrations, along with games, a craft for the kids, a heart-healthy snack, and other giveaways. This special Sticker Stop was held at the LivingWell bookstore in Silver Spring, Md., where WGTS staff and volunteers teamed up with an Adventist HealthCare medical team.
WGTS Sticker Stops happen almost every week as part of the “91 Days of Summer.” Check our website weekly for details on what days, times, and activities will be offered.
