Potomac Conference Hispanic Leaders Gather for Conference-Wide Training
Story by Debra Anderson
The Hispanic Ministries Department of the Potomac Conference recently hosted a dynamic two-day leadership training event that brought together more than 1,200 Hispanic leaders from across the region. The first session took place at the Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Md., and served leaders from Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. The second session convened the next day at the Richmond Evangelistic Center, focusing on leaders from Southern Virginia.
During the training, a powerful focus on mission goals and deep feelings of community bonded the participants throughout the program.
Rafael Soto, conference vice president for Hispanic Ministries, emphasized the significance of the training: “When people receive training, they are empowered to serve. Every member of the church is called to serve; we help them discover how to use their unique, God-given gifts.”
The gathering provided essential resources designed specifically for Hispanic leaders serving in ministry roles to grow healthy, disciple-making churches that impact their communities for the long term.
Leaders were motivated to strengthen their commitment to discipleship and church service, ensuring a future of stronger, more unified ministry across the Potomac Conference.
