Manassas Adventist Preparatory School Breaks Ground
Story by Debra Anderson
Potomac Conference's Manassas Adventist Preparatory School (MAPS) in Virginia has announced the groundbreaking of a new school facility on campus, set to begin in the winter of 2025. The project aims to enhance student learning by providing modern, interactive spaces that integrate advanced technology and experiential education.
The new facility will feature a state-of-the-art STEAM classroom, designed to foster creativity and hands-on learning. Additionally, outdoor learning spaces will offer students opportunities for naturebased activities and experiential learning beyond traditional classrooms.
MAPS Principal Ruth Davis emphasizes the school’s mission to provide a Christ-centered, innovative learning environment: “The new facility will help equip our students to make a meaningful difference for God by providing a space where they can innovate in our STEAM classroom, discover the world around them in our outdoor education spaces and offer more students the opportunity to experience a solid Christian education.”
Alongside the new academic spaces, the school’s gymnasium will undergo a major renovation to better support physical education and extracurricular activities. The updated gym will provide a spacious, modern facility for sports, fitness and community events, reflecting the school’s commitment to both academic and physical development.
MAPS leaders and the school community praises the project as a transformational step forward. They express gratitude for the opportunity to expand and improve the campus, ensuring that future students receive a well-rounded, faith-based education in an inspiring learning environment.
