The Allegheny East Conference (AEC) recently culminated the yearlong celebration of its 80th anniversary with a vibrant gala that drew more than 400 members and well-wishers from across the territory. The evening served not only as a tribute to eight decades of ministry and mission but also as a meaningful step toward the future.

Seventh-day Adventist hospitals and care sites – through their actions, words, prayers and practices – are living testimonies to the news that Jesus loves all people and invites everyone who wants to accept His love to live forever.

At the 62nd General Conference Session, the five Adventist health systems located in North America – AdventHealth, Adventist Health, Adventist HealthCare, Kettering Health and Loma Linda University Health – developed three unified demonstrations of their commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

When faced with times of change, it can be easy to get mired in feeling overwhelmed and powerless. However, we can choose instead to take a breath, center ourselves and continue to do our job supporting excellence in healthcare. 

The Lucy Byard Scholarship was created to honor the legacy of Lucy Byard and to reaffirm Adventist HealthCare’s commitment to treat all people with respect and dignity.
