Adventists Celebrate "I Love to Listen Day"
This Sabbath, May 16, join Seventh-day Adventist members on five continents in the observance of the 10th annual I Love to Listen Day.
Story by Beth Michaels
The day, created by Marva Shand McIntosh, a member of Allegheny East Conference's Metropolitan church in Hyattsville, Md., is not a day of silence. "It is a day to create awareness of the importance of listening, to learn about listening and to share listening as a gift to others and ourselves," she says. "It is the day to deepen a vital intelligence." The theme for this year is “Yes Listening Matters.” For more information, visit http://ilovetolisten.com.
