Pacific Press to Produce Special Sharing Book for NAD’s All Things New Initiative

Story by Sherly Mae Rothgeb

Pacific Press Publishing Association is honored to partner with the North American Division (NAD) of Seventh-day Adventists in its All Things New, a year-long initiative leading to September 2027 global movement OneVoice27—backed by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

As part of this year-long emphasis, Pacific Press will produce a special sharing book featuring nine chapters from Ellen G. White’s The Desire of Ages. The North American Division hopes to distribute five million copies throughout its territory, giving Seventh-day Adventists opportunities to share the story of Jesus with friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community members.

For Pacific Press, this project represents more than a Images courtesy of the NAD publishing initiative. It is an opportunity to use the ministry of publishing to place a Christ-centered resource directly into the hands of millions of people.

“We are honored to be entrusted with producing a resource that will support the Church’s mission on such a significant scale. Every book placed in someone’s hands represents an opportunity for connection, conversation, and an encounter with Jesus," said Dale Galusha, president, Pacific Press Publishing Association.

A cornerstone of All Things New is an invitation for members to read or reread The Desire of Ages as they prepare to share Christ with others.

The initiative offers three reading plans to help members journey through the book together:

• Read 5 Pages / Day: Starts September 5, 2026 [Download PDF Guide]
• Read a Chapter-a-Day: Starts September 5, 2026 [Download PDF Guide]
• Read a Chapter-a-Day: Starts January 1, 2027 [Download PDF Guide]

The goal is not simply to complete a book, but to spend intentional time reflecting on the life, character, compassion, and ministry of Jesus.

As members encounter Christ through The Desire of Ages, they are encouraged to share what they have discovered with the people around them.

Five Million Copies. Millions of Opportunities to Share the Story of Jesus.

The five-million-copy goal reflects the broader vision of All Things New: to move beyond a program or campaign and create meaningful opportunities for people to encounter the hope found in Jesus.

The book is designed to make personal witnessing simple and accessible. It may be given to a friend, neighbor, coworker, loved one, or someone encountered through community service.

The initiative will emphasize four areas: Pray Like Jesus; Serve Like Jesus, Share Jesus and Follow Jesus.

Pacific Press and the Adventist Book Center network are also making The Desire of Ages available in a variety of editions and formats for those who want to participate in the reading journey or share the book beyond the special five-million-copy edition.

The five million books are not simply a publishing goal. They represent five million opportunities to start a conversation, build a connection, and share the hope of Christ, say initiative organizers.

Through this partnership, Pacific Press is grateful to support the North American Division’s historic All Things New initiative and looks forward to seeing how God will use these resources across North America.
