A Mother’s Story of Hope

Since 2012, The Story Project video series has told several dozen stories of WGTS listeners—real people who have experienced life’s hardships and, despite their grief and pain, have found a way forward through the music and messages offered by the station.

Christine, a mother of four daughters, shared her story in memory of her daughter Grace, who at just 13, experienced an incident that brought such severe cyberbullying that it led to a devastating loss.

Even in this difficult time, Christine found the strength to move forward. She says, “Hope is everything. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to see God’s beauty anymore. But on the week of her funeral, I walked out, and I could still see it, I could still feel it. I felt God with me.”

She shares how the station helped her: “WGTS and the faithful music puts you right back into your heart, into where the love is, and where the hope is…so many times, just the right song would come on to help me.”

“If you’re going through difficult times, there’s love, there’s compassion, there’s grace. Hang on. You’re never alone. I promise it will get better.”
