Constituency Meeting Celebrates Five Years of Ministry

Story by V. Michelle Bernard

More than 192 delegates attended the Columbia Union Conference’s 29th Constituency Meeting this weekend. They represented the union’s eight conferences, entities and 876 churches and companies. Attendees heard reports on evangelism, ministry and the Holy Spirit’s outpouring that resulted in 27,158 new members in the last five years, and 49,327 since 2011.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted the economy, the Columbia Union received $75,237,456 in tithe and spent $13,385,984 on evangelism. “Every dollar must have a connection to soul winning,” shared Emmanuel Asiedu, uniontreasurer, in his report.

During the two-day event, entity leaders also shared reports on the health and impact of their ministries.

G. Alexander Bryant, North American Division president, who chaired the Nominating Committee, shared, “My heart has been warmed, inspired and encouraged as I see the work you’ve done in the union.”

In the coming weeks, the Visitor team will share more about the event.
