Troy Elliott to Join Columbia Union ITS Department
Story by V. Michelle Bernard
This week, Troy Elliott was voted in as the new assistant director of Columbia Union Conference’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Department.
“With over 25 years of working in IT in the corporate environment and the church, Troy’s resume qualifies him to be an asset to Columbia Union,” says Robert D. Chandler, director of ITS. “Outside of filling the technical role, I was drawn to Troy’s love and commitment to family, church and God, which made him a good fit for us in IT and the Columbia Union as a whole.”
Elliott will fill the role of assistant director, working closely with Chris Araujo, associate director, in providing IT support and services to the Columbia Union and its entities.
From December 2017 to present, Elliott served as an IT specialist at Chesapeake Conference’s Atholton Adventist Academy in Columbia, Md. He has also worked as a senior developer, a programmer and consultant.
Elliott has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, College Park.
