Willingboro Members Represent Church in Juneteenth Celebration

Last Sabbath, members at New Jersey Conference’s Willingboro church participated in their township’s third annual Juneteenth Celebration to remember the anniversary of when enslaved people in Texas were officially proclaimed free on June 19, 1865. The community event offered a Freedom Trail photo display, speeches by local officials and a festive community atmosphere.

Church members provided free water, healthy snacks, copies of Steps to Christ, Message Magazine, Blacks from the Past, as well as information about ADRA International’s World Refugee Day Sabbath, also happening that day.
