Potomac Conference Names New Camp Blue Ridge Director
Potomac Conference leadership reports that Eliasib Fajardo, pastor of Arlington Spanish, Metro Northern Virginia Spanish and Sterling Spanish churches, has accepted the offer to serve as the new director of Camp Blue Ridge in Montebello, Va.
The Potomac Conference shared this statement;
We are pleased to announce that Eliasib Fajardo, pastor of Arlington Spanish, Metro No VA Spanish and Sterling Spanish churches, has accepted the offer to serve as the new director of Camp Blue Ridge in Montebello, Va.
Fajardo has always had a passion for working with youth. Before becoming a ministerial student, Fajardo helped create a young adult guitar praise team at Potomac’s Washington Spanish church (Silver Spring, Md.). As a college student in Mexico, he served as youth ministries director on campus and, in 2004, was invited to be Potomac’s Hispanic youth coordinator, in which he led teen and young adult camps, church retreats and recreational activities.
Camp Blue Ridge is a meaningful ministry to Fajardo, as he has volunteered as camp pastor over the years and held various retreats on site. “My greatest joy is leading these kids to a personal commitment to Christ,” he says. “I am excited for this challenge. I look forward to discovering new ways to effectively minister to youth and help them develop a stronger relationship with God.”
Fajardo, his wife, Yerusi, and their three children will be making the transition to Camp Blue Ridge this summer.
