Spencerville Adventist Academy Adds New Staff for 2026-2027

The Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) team is excited to welcome the newest faculty members for the 2026–2027 school year.

These educators bring a deep commitment to academic excellence, spiritual growth and the development of the whole student. Together, they represent a shared mission to inspire curiosity, foster character and cultivate a love for lifelong learning.

God continues to guide and provide for the school community, and SAA leaders are looking forward to the meaningful and lasting impact these teachers will have on their students and families.

Bringing eight years of teaching experience with her, Liviani Segovia is the new third grade teacher. She holds a degree in Elementary and Special Education from Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Md. Originally from Puerto Rico and raised in Northern Virginia, she is excited to begin this new chapter in Maryland and become part of the SAA community. She is passionate about supporting each child’s growth—not only academically but also spiritually in their relationship with God and their understanding of His love.

Cindy Esposito joins the SAA team as its new fifth grade teacher. She comes with a wealth of experience in Seventh-day Adventist education. Since 2010, she has served in a variety of roles, supporting students academically, spiritually and socially. For the past three years, she has taught fifth and sixth grade and is passionate about helping upper elementary students grow in confidence, independence and ownership of their learning.

For the high school and middle school Spanish program, SAA welcomes Maria Teresa Alvarado-Reyes.She is a dedicated educator and a student success professional with over two decades of experience in Adventist education, academic advising and holistic student development.

Originally from Mexico City, she has recently served as the Spanish and Reading teacher at the George E. Peters Adventist School in Hyattsville, Md., where she was passionate about fostering bilingual literacy, while integrating faith, culture and academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.

For the high school program, Chehalis Eno will be stepping into the role of English teacher for grades 9 and 11.

Eno graduated from Southern Adventist University (Tenn.) in May of 2026 with a degree in Secondary English Education and an additional endorsement in Secondary Math. SAA leaders look forward to the gifts, talents and enthusiasm she will bring to the students and community.
