Looking Ahead: Highland View Academy's Vision for 2026
As Highland View Academy (HVA) looks toward 2026, the campus community is energized by a clear vision: to grow, connect and inspire the next generation of Christ-centered leaders. With the new year comes a renewed focus on recruiting and welcoming students who are ready to grow spiritually, academically and personally in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Hagerstown, Md., HVA continues to offer a distinctive blend of strong academics, vibrant campus life and spiritual formation.
Principal Rob Gettys shares, “One of the things that makes HVA special is that we strive to be a school where every student matters, is seen as valuable and receives individualized mentorship. We are intentional about helping to disciple our students into who Jesus is calling them to be in this world. I like to say that HVA is a small school, but a big family.”
This winter, HVA is expanding outreach efforts to Adventist elementary schools, local churches and community families across the Chesapeake Conference. One initiative will send current HVA students back to visit their former elementary schools to share firsthand what academy life is like.
These peer connections will not only inspire younger students but also help them envision continuing their education within the Adventist system.
