Lake Nelson Adventist Academy Hosts a Night of Gospel, Grace and Giving

This year, Lake Nelson Adventist Academy (LNAA) united to host its annual Gospel Benefit Concert, a highly anticipated and cherished musical event dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of those in need. Each year, the concert brings together students, faculty and the community for an unforgettable evening filled with inspiring performances, heartfelt generosity and a strong sense of unity. The primary goal of the event is to raise funds for important causes. This year, the focus was on supporting the resilient people of Jamaica, who were deeply affected by the historic devastation from Hurricane Melissa, leaving many families across the island in urgent need of relief. By coming together in song and service, everyone involved demonstrated the compassion and empathy that defines the school. The event further invited the community to taste and see the Lord’s goodness.

A unique aspect of the gospel concert is its emphasis on highlighting contributions from both students and faculty members. Students from elementary through high school dedicate weeks to prepare musical selections, showcasing their diverse talents to a supportive audience. Whether singing in choirs, performing solo pieces or playing instruments, each participant plays a vital role in the success of the concert. Their dedication and enthusiasm not only entertain but also inspire those to give generously to the cause. The faculty also put a great deal of effort into making the evening special. This year, they decorated the gymnasium with the vibrant colors of Jamaica, creating an immersive environment for the guests. This thoughtful attention ensured that everyone present felt connected to the cause and the community.

The impact of the gospel concert extends far beyond the walls of LNAA. Through a collective effort and compassionate giving, the $3,500 raised provided much-needed relief and hope to the communities in Jamaica. The concert served as a powerful reminder of the difference that can be made when people unite for a common purpose, demonstrating the academy’s commitment to service and global citizenship.
