Mountain View Conference Welcomes New Faces
Story by Liz Bailey
Friends-R-Fun Child Development Center, the largest childcare facility this side of the Mississippi, is getting a new director. Located in Summersville, W.Va., and with a 50 percent increase in students this year, the Mountain View Conference decided to reach out to Rudy and Memosa Sarong for help.
The Sarongs, along with their three children, Miles, Sarj and Mikaela, worked on coming to America from the Philippines for more than seven months. “This is a dream come true to finally arrive!” states Memosa, the new principal and director.
Memosa comes to the area with a Ph.D. in Education, and Rudy with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Accounting. They will both be serving in teaching and administration.
“Their willingness to sacrifice and their drive for the spreading of the gospel has been manifested in many evangelistic efforts in various islands of the Philippines,” states Lynnwood Spangler, pastor of the Summersville (W.Va.) church. “When their [previous] school of over 1,000 students was between semesters, they would lead the staff in evangelistic efforts for Christ. We will be blessed to add them into our family of faith and work beside them in ministry.”
