Laurel Lake Camp Welcomes New Directors, Summer Campers
Story by Tamyra Horst
Charles and Stephani Trescott are excited to join the Pennsylvania Conference team as its new Laurel Lake Camp directors. With a deep passion for ministry and years of experience, the Trescotts are eager to continue the camp’s legacy of helping young people encounter God and build lifelong memories.
"I started in camp ministry when I was 14, volunteering in the kitchen and stables,” shares Stephani. “That summer sparked a passion that has grown into a career that has lasted nearly 15 years.”
Charles echoes that commitment: “Our goal is to make camp a place where every visitor encounters God, builds lifelong memorials and feelsl ike a part of the family."
The Trescotts step into the roles previously held by Zeke and Michelle Perez, who faithfully served Laurel Lake Camp and pastored the Laurel Lake and Clearfield churches since April 2022.
"Zeke is transitioning to full-time pastoral ministry, where we are strategically creating a new district designed to strengthen and grow our churches," says Gary Gibbs, conference president.
Charles and Stephani, alongside Todd Casey and a dedicated camp statt, are ready to welcome campers ages 7-16 for an unforgettable summer!
Activities include go-karting, horseback riding, lake adventures, archery, axe throwing, crafts and inspiring worship.
This year’s theme, “Life Begins Here,” will challenge and equip young people to embrace their identity as new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
