Kettering College Announces New Leadership
Story by Kettering College Staff
As the summer semester unfolds at Kettering College, it brings with it renewed energy, fresh opportunities, and a deep sense of purpose rooted in our mission to educate students for service, leadership, and lifelong learning.
This semester also marks a moment of transition in leadership.
After 11 years of dedicated service, President Nate Brandstater has decided to step down from his role and pursue the role of Executive Director at the Consortium of Hospital-Affiliated Colleges and Universities (CHACU). Dr. Brandstater has led our college through transformative growth and countless milestones. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and vision, which has shaped our college community in meaningful ways. We are excited to share a timeline and celebratory article in our upcoming Pacesetter magazine. Be on the lookout!
Subsequently, the College board has selected an Interim President to lead during this time of transition. Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Scott Bennie, PT, DSc, MBA, FNAP will simultaneously serve as both our Interim President and Dean of Academic Affairs during the search process. This appointment ensures continuity and stability as we move forward with optimism and purpose.
We want to highlight that there is real momentum happening across many key areas of campus life and operations—momentum defined by our Interim Strategic Plan and focused on directly benefiting you, our students, and our dedicated faculty and staff. Whether it’s program specific, student support services, campus life, or infrastructure enhancements, positive developments are underway and gaining traction.
The search process for hiring our next president is ongoing, and we are feeling positive about the future of our institution. The candidates being considered represent a strong pool of individuals who are committed to the mission and vision of Kettering College. As we move through this transition, we remain committed to advancing health education in the region and beyond, while continuing to serve as a vital contributor to the local community and healthcare workforce.
