More than 3,500 people gathered on Aug. 23 for an outdoor summer concert with Christian artist Jordan Feliz on the lawn of the Frederick Church in Maryland. The event, held in partnership with WGTS 91.9, marked the conclusion of the station’s 10th annual Summer Concert Series and was the best-attended concert of the 2025 season.

This was the church’s third annual community concert and the second year hosting the event on its front lawn. Attendance nearly doubled from last year, as guests filled three offsite parking lots and were shuttled to the church campus. Leaders say the concerts have become an important bridge to the community, helping more people become familiar with the church. Several guests who first attended during past concerts have since returned to worship services and church activities.

The evening began with music from the church’s band, Infusion, and a welcome from Associate Pastor Alareece Collie (pictured, right) and outreach coordinator Jenn Nichols (pictured, left). Lead Pastor Morgan Kochenower later shared a brief message of hope before Feliz performed many of his most popular songs, including “The River” and “Thank God for That.”

More than 100 trained volunteers helped ensure guests had a welcoming and meaningful experience. Attendees also visited booths highlighting Frederick Adventist Church, Frederick Adventist Academy, and Highland View Academy, where they could learn more about upcoming events and ministries. The church also shared gifts and literature such as Steps to Christ.

“God has called us to bless by making a positive Gospel impact on those around us, and we are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with WGTS and Jordan Feliz to share that blessing by sharing the hope we have in Jesus,” Kochenower said.

Collie added, “We are so happy to work with our incredible church to be a blessing in the Frederick community, the state of Maryland, and beyond. We’re believing God will continue to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.”
