WGTS 91.9 Celebrates Successful Fundraiser
Story by Jerry Woods
After coming up short in the Spring, WGTS 91.9 listeners came to the aid of their station during the ministry’s first-ever, summer fundraiser. Because of the pandemic, fewer listeners gave in the spring, and some existing listeners could no longer give. That’s why the station launched the “39 Hours of Hope” fundraiser. During those 39-hours over 1,400 listeners gave enough to cover the spring fundraiser shortfall as well as making up for many who have had to stop their monthly giving.
WGTS President and General Manager Kevin Krueger reflected on the outpouring of support, "During this unusual time of stress and unknowns it is an honor to be a place of consistency and hope for the greater D.C. region and beyond. The stories of hope and the generosity of WGTS 91.9 listeners during the fundraiser are inspiring and will allow so many to receive hope into their lives. We appreciate each supporter and are amazed to see God working through them,” says Krueger.
