Adventist students from several Columbia Union schools joined the National School Walkout for safety Wednesday. Many included prayer, short messages and moments of silence and called for Congress to address the crisis of repeated mass shottings in the U.S.

Washington Adventist University has welcomed Anward Ottley to the Music Department as an adjunct professor.

On May 8, 1957, in the basement of the men’s dormitory on the campus of then Washington Missionary College, WGTS 91.9 started broadcasting on a 10-watt transmitter, covering a scant square mile in Takoma Park, Md.
