At the beginning of the 2014-15 school year, Chaplain Luis Camps challenged every faculty and staff member to choose one student to help develop a personal relationship with Christ. The staff took the challenge to heart, and the Lord answered their prayers during the spring semester.
The Comptroller of Maryland recently recognized Washington Adventist University (WAU) business students for their creative solutions to helping local small businesses thrive. The students recently earned third place in the national Enactus Competition, which awards teams with the most creative solutions to resolving community issues.
On Thursday at approximately 6:45 p.m., a powerful storm struck Blue Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School (BME), Hamburg, Pa., taking off the roof, destroying the gym, and knocking down several walls of the 46 year old brick structure. This spring Blue Mountain Academy (BMA) students performed The Exodus Story, an original opera by Lawrence Galera, director of music. The cast of 88 included soloists, a choir and orchestra, gymnasts and actors, as well as stage, lighting and sound crews. Auditions began in September, rehearsals began in January and the cast finally performed twice in May.
