WGTS 91.9 Takes Part in National Day of Prayer

Story by WGTS Staff

Last Thursday, May 4, people across the country celebrated the 73rd annual National Day of Prayer. The WGTS 91.9 team took part in two Washington, D.C., area events. WGTS staffers headed over to Adventist Healthcare’s White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, Md., where afternoon show hosts Johnny and Stacey Stone led health care hospital workers in prayer. Twenty miles away, in Rockville, Md., WGTS morning show host Jerry Woods led county workers in prayer at the Montgomery County Government Center. Woods prayed for people who work in the media and related professions.

“Health care and media are a potent healing partnership,” says Ken Scribner, director of Promotions and Community Engagement for WGTS. “Together, we can help people who are seeking not only physical but spiritual healing too.”
