Grandview Medical Center celebrates 90 years with music, food & fireworks

Kettering Adventist Health Network invites the public to celebrate Independence Day and Grandview Medical Center’s 90th anniversary. The Boom-n-Blast Independence Day celebration is being held on Sunday, June 26 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Preble County Medical Center, located at 450 Washington-Jackson Road in Eaton.

The old-fashioned patriotic celebration features food including Buckeye Jake’s kettle popcorn and free ice cream. Kids of all ages can enjoy a carnival with inflatables, face painting, and games. Local police, fire and EMS vehicles will be on display. Free health screenings and giveaways are available and there will be drawings for prizes.

K-99.1FM will provide music and broadcast a live remote from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Chuck Taylors, a fun, engaging, spontaneous dance band from Cincinnati will perform from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event will be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display at 7 Mile Park starting at dark. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
